As labor day has come and gone, and we enter the dying days of summer, we all turn to the next season on the calendar – trade show and conference season. The restaurant industry is well served with a plethora of events, starting next week in Atlanta with the New Next Gen Restaurant Summit followed by FSTEC in Dallas the week after, the MURTEC Executive Conference in Charleston October 2nd, and finally the Fast Casual Conference in Louisville on the 8th. It’s a busy time indeed for the industry.
What can we as technologists gain from attending some or all of these activities? First and foremost, they are awesome networking opportunities. The Restaurant Technology industry is blessed with talented people who are very willing to share their knowledge, experiences or advice for those just getting into the industry or those about to embark on an ambitious project.
The wealth of experience can be tapped during the many social events during these conferences and that is far and away the main reason to attend any of them. So bring your questions and your challenges.
